About this race
The Laroste Gravel Race begins on Lungomare Trieste in Lignano Sabbiadoro, adjacent to San Giovanni Bosco park, on Italy's Adriatic coast. This is a competitive gravel bike race conducted under the Italian Cycling Federation, featuring a mass start, a marked course, GPS navigation, overall standings, and category-specific results. Participants require a valid competitive cycling medical certificate or an FCI or EPS racing license, indicating it is intended for registered competitors, not for same-day casual entries.
The race provides two main distances: 60 km and 115 km. Both courses consist of approximately 70% gravel and 30% asphalt. The 115 km route involves two laps, while the 60 km route is designated for older master and women's categories. Laroste also offers additional ride options, including 75 km, 150 km, and a family ride, attracting both competitive racers and gravel enthusiasts focused on exploration over rankings. The event is organized by Asd Team Zero Bike of Lignano Sabbiadoro. Previous winners include Kevin Rosola Pezzo and Debora Piana.
