Parma Marathon is an October running event in Parma, Italy, featuring a full marathon through the city center. Alongside the main marathon, shorter races are offered: TRENTA2 (32k), VENTI4 (24k), Vigorosa (a competitive 10k), and Desmila (a non-competitive 10k).
The course follows Parma’s streets, squares, monuments, and main landmarks. The 10k race begins in Cittadella and passes through the city’s central areas. The event started in 2015, aiming to provide Parma with a scaled-down Italian version of a New York-style race day, integrating food and culture. Parma is known for Parma Ham, Parmigiano Reggiano, and Giuseppe Verdi, alongside its running events. Thousands of runners participate each October, and the race is part of the Maratone dell’Emilia-Romagna series.
