Peschiera Nuota is an open-water swimming event in Lake Garda at Peschiera del Garda, Verona. The swims go past the town’s old bastions, part of a UNESCO World Heritage site. The program offers longer HARD SWIM races, shorter SMILE SWIM options, and a 3x1K relay.
The setting allows swimmers to move below historic walls while spectators watch from above. Some racing occurs by moonlight, giving the event a night-swim character instead of a standard lake start. Peschiera is also a stop in the Challenge dei Laghi, a lake swimming series with rounds in Monate, Leggiuno, Maccagno, Peschiera del Garda, and Caldonazzo. This series includes cumulative rankings and end-of-season awards presented in formal venues like theaters, palaces, and university halls.
