Swimtheisland 2026

SwimTheIsland organizes open-water swims from Italian shores to islands, with races held in San Teodoro (Sardinia), San Vincenzo (Tuscany), and Golfo dell'Isola (Ligurian coast). The season extends from late spring through autumn. Each event is a sea swim, not a pool competition, with the standard distance set at 3.2 km. The Ligurian event connects Bergeggi, Noli, Spotorno, and Vezzi Portio. The Spotorno schedule offers distances ranging from 800 m to 6 km, featuring island swims. San Teodoro provides clear waters, a sunny village atmosphere, and streets noted by the organizer for their floral displays. The events span several days, with race-pack pickup preceding the main swims, giving the series the feel of a brief swim weekend rather than a solitary race day.
