Trail di Monterosso

The Trail di Monterosso is a 21 km trail race taking place in Monterosso Almo, a small town in the province of Ragusa, southeastern Sicily. It occurs around mid-October and includes 1,150 meters of elevation gain within its 21 km, making it more akin to a mountain race than a quick road half-marathon. The race features a single primary distance, focusing the event on the 21 km trail course. The participants are predominantly Italian, and previous results indicate a competitive lead pack: the winning time has been just under 1 hour and 51 minutes, with multiple top finishers completing the course within the subsequent twenty-five minutes.
