Triathlon Sprint Città di Empoli 2026

The Triathlon Sprint Città di Empoli is a sprint triathlon held at the Empoli municipal pool, featuring a Kids Triathlon program for various youth age groups. Race-day check-in is at the pool on Via delle Olimpiadi. Bibs, chips, and race packets are distributed at Circolo Avis on Via Rossa the afternoon before the race and again on race morning. The youth events begin with the youngest Mini Cuccioli, followed by Cuccioli, Esordienti, Ragazzi, Youth A, Youth B, and Junior categories. Boys and girls start separately in several of these groups. The swim takes place in an outdoor 50-meter, eight-lane Olympic pool. The youngest athletes swim shorter distances, while older youth compete up to 400 meters. The bike course is flat with loop sections, allowing for easier spectating of repeated passes compared to a point-to-point route. The transition area opens in the morning and closes before the first start, with a technical briefing preceding the races. Larger fields in the Youth A, Youth B, and Junior categories may be divided into multiple heats. Families can remain at the pool throughout the day, accessing it with a daily ticket and purchasing snacks or light lunches at the pool bar.
