About this race
From Akabane Station or Akabane-Iwabuchi Station, this event leads directly to the Arakawa Riverbed Course: flat, open, and straightforward. The 102nd Akabane Trial feels more like a local runner’s gathering than a large event, with "Flat course!" being the main draw because, realistically, that's a key factor in selecting a race.
The course is configured as a short riverbed loop, making it easy to find your rhythm, track laps, and run without complications. Participants in the fun run are explicitly invited, contributing to a relaxed atmosphere rather than a strictly competitive one. A notable feature is the stamp card: collect three stamps and receive a free race entry. Additionally, the nearby public bath Otamayu is available afterward, offering a very practical post-run benefit.
