About this race
The Tokyo Toyosu Night Marathon is an evening race held in Tokyo’s Toyosu district, offering 30 km, 10 km, and 5 km distances. Starts are staggered in the late afternoon and early evening: the 30 km participants begin first, followed by the 10 km and 5 km runners closer to dusk. The 30 km race concludes at 22:00 with a 3 hour 30 minute time limit; the shorter races have 2 hours 30 minutes for the 10 km and 1 hour 30 minutes for the 5 km.
This marks the 39th running of this Sportsone event, part of a busy series that can include multiple races monthly. The course is illuminated and features water stations. Runners are advised to consider visibility after dark; headlamps are suggested, and rentals might be provided. All finishers get a medal. The event also provides practical amenities like a shuttle bus and a 45L bag drop. The modest 5 km entry fee allows new runners to participate, while the 30 km distance offers experienced runners a substantial night challenge within the city.
