About this race
Long wooden stairs and exposed ridgelines are the hard parts that shape the Diamond Trail Run Championship. It is a November trail race based in Katsuragi City, Nara, with the start at the Agricultural, Forestry and Fisheries Training Center parking lot. The championship edition is a prize-money race, so it has a more competitive feel than a casual trail outing.
The course follows the Diamond Trail, a historic Kansai mountain route linking Nara, Osaka, and Wakayama. Runners should expect ridge running, repeated stair climbs, and a route that feels more like a serious mountain test than a smooth forest jog. The prize format draws racers who want to compete, while the cross-prefecture course gives the event a clear Kansai identity.
