About this race
The 4100D Mountain Trail in Nozawa Onsen is a timed trail-running race held in Nozawaonsen Village, a hot-spring village in Nagano Prefecture. Participants can select from 65 km, 37 km, 14 km, and 7 km distances. The shortest category is intended for children and families, while the longer races have different pricing for younger and adult participants. The event takes place within Nozawaonsen Village Olympic Sports Park. Organizers describe it as one of Japan's most challenging trail runs.
The race is included in the Nippon Trail Running Grand Prix Series, attracting dedicated trail runners alongside local and family participants opting for shorter distances. S-Mountain is the organizing body, and Salomon offers an S/PLUS member discount via this registration page. A unique feature for Nozawa is the post-race benefit: all participants receive complimentary access to the village's 13 public onsen baths. The organizer also stages other mountain events, including the Nozawaonsen Vertical Kilometer and Yuzawa Sky Extreme.
