AH Abe Brouwer Parel van Drenthe Toertocht

The AH Abe Brouwer Parel van Drenthe Toertocht is an October MTB tour in Havelte, Drenthe. Riders begin in the morning at De Schaapskooi, by the Holtinger Schaapskudde and near the Holtingerveld access area. They can choose routes of about 25 or 45 kilometers. This is a marked off-road ride, not a road race. Helmets are required. Facilities for participants include parking guidance, showers, changing rooms, guarded bike parking, bike rental, and a bike wash. The routes cover the Havelte and Holtingerveld area, combining flatter Drenthe terrain with short climbs and singletrack sections. Both distances feature a refreshment stop. The food offered is fresh fruit, drinks, and a currant bun, contributing to the local atmosphere. Abe Brouwer of Havelte is closely associated with rider care, and the event has been held for 25 years. The tour welcomes a wide range of participants, including beginners, experienced mountain bikers, NFTU members, and supervised riders under 16.
