Arnoud Magnin Wintercross 2027

The Arnoud Magnin Wintercross is a small winter cross-country race held near Schipborg and the Drentsche Aa in the Dutch province of Drenthe. Loopgroep De Drentsche Aa organizes this event, which marks the start of the new-year section of the Univé Loopcircuit De Kop van Drenthe. Participants can select either a 4 km or 8 km distance, completing one or two laps of the 4 km course, with a maximum of 300 runners allowed. The course is predominantly off-road, featuring hills, small bodies of water, brushwood, and a sand drift, rather than extended paved sections. The race honors Arnoud Magnin, the club's former head coach and co-founder. The minimum age for participation is 12. The 4 km race offers a youth category for ages 12 to 15, awarding cups to the top three finishers. All other participants compete within the standard Loopcircuit categories and prize structures.
