About this race
The Brabantse Kluis Trail begins at Herberg de Brabantse Kluis in Aarle-Rixtel, adjacent to the monastery. This Dutch trail event features low elevation with approximately 10, 20, and 30 km distances, also noted as 12, 21, and 32 km, offering participants a range from a short trail run to a longer morning excursion. The courses are clearly marked, with aid stations positioned at designated spots.
Starting from the inn, the routes traverse meadows, heathland, and forest, providing open vistas with minimal elevation changes. The 21 km course includes around 45 meters of elevation gain, and the 32 km course has approximately 56 meters. The longer route concludes in the monastery garden, and the paths have been approved by local land managers. Organizers describe it as one of their initial trails and a long-standing event, attracting many runners who return for the combination of the monastery's setting, Brabant's hospitality, and the surrounding countryside near De Mortel.
