Castle Trail la Hulpe

Castle Trail La Hulpe is a November trail race held in La Hulpe, Belgium. The start and finish are located at Hotel Dolce La Hulpe on Chaussée de Bruxelles. Participants can choose from three distances: 15 km, 20 km, and 40 km. The 40 km route includes approximately 700 meters of climbing, while the shorter races feature about 300 to 350 meters of elevation gain, offering a genuine trail experience. The courses primarily traverse the Solvay domain, covering the area around La Hulpe Castle and the southern section of the Sonian Forest. This setup emphasizes routes along wooded paths and castle grounds, distinct from urban races. The 40 km course extends to the Ukkel hippodrome. Now in its seventh edition, the event attracted around 700 participants last year. Starts for the 20 km and 40 km races are staggered, with award ceremonies commencing shortly after the third finisher completes each distance.
