De Beuningse Plasloop

The De Beuningse Plasloop is an annual run in Beuningen, Gelderland, organized around the lake at the edge of town. This local road race includes 10 km and 5 km distances, two Kidsrun options, and an Ondernemersrun for corporate teams. The event accommodates a wide range of participants for its size: children, adult runners, competitive athletes, framerunners, and business teams are all included in the program. The course circles a former sand extraction site and follows the Beuningse Plas, primarily on paved paths outside the town limits. The route is mostly clear of vehicle traffic, with W.S.V. "de Beuningse Plas" acting as the start, finish, and central point. Post-race, participants gather at the clubhouse terrace, where volunteers from the watersports club offer drinks. The race employs electronic timing, posts results later, and presents medals and awards across multiple categories, including a special prize for the quickest entrepreneur.
