About this race
Derko Night Trail is a Friday-evening running event held in the dark in the Utrecht region. BodyRun and IJ-run organize it together; this is its seventh edition. Runners can choose from several race options with different distances for various participants.
The courses use unpaved and paved sections, but every run shares the challenge of moving through the route after dark. Recent editions have drawn many finishers, and the event supports Stichting Veer(le)kracht through a donation. A previous edition was filmed, allowing runners to get a feel for the night-race atmosphere before signing up.
