About this race
Devil's Trail Netl-Kraggenburg is a December trail run held at Netl Park near Kraggenburg, in the Noordoostpolder. The race begins and ends at the beach pavilion, directing runners onto unpaved paths through a park landscape situated below sea level. Available distances include a short NightTrail, mid-range options, and a 30 km course, accommodating both beginners new to trail running and seasoned runners seeking a longer challenge.
The courses traverse forests, gravel, natural obstacles, and rougher trails instead of a paved road. Participants will run through the Voorsterbos and Waterloopbos, with the 30 km route partially entering the Waterloopbos National Monument, a former hydraulic testing forest featuring old waterworks and experimental channels. The course is marked for navigation, and the broader Devil's Trail series emphasizes unpaved races through Dutch nature reserves with a focus on sustainability.
