Dutch Backyard Ultra

The Dutch Backyard Ultra has participants run a 6.706 km loop hourly at Scoutinglandgoed Zeewolde in Flevoland. As a backyard ultra, the event continues indefinitely; each runner must complete the loop and be prepared for the next within the hour, or they are disqualified. The course crosses natural terrain, but the challenge lies in the format: the clock resets each hour, and the number of participants dwindles until a single runner finishes a lap. This final runner is the sole finisher and victor. The series also features a Leersum event, maintaining the straightforward yet demanding backyard-ultra concept of a single loop, a one-hour time limit, and no predetermined finish.
