Running here centers on steady canal paths and parkland loops—the Menzis Singelloop Enschede and Herfstloop Twente are the anchor local races, both held on nearly flat courses around 20km. The city sits in the eastern Netherlands near the German border, with good gravel and road riding into the low Overijssel countryside within 10–15km.
