About this race
Between Dwingelerveld and the Drents-Friese Wold, this is four days of bike-ride rhythm rather than race-day noise. Fiets4daaagse Dwingeloo rolls through forest, heath, village greens, stream valleys, and old es fields, with the Siepeltoren and an authentic brink giving the start area a very Drenthe feel. The organizers call it a chance to discover “beautiful nature, culture,” and that sounds about right.
Each day points a different way: toward Pesse and Ruinen, Blauwe Meer and Hooghalen, Kraloerheide and Havelte, then Hoogersmilde, Diever, Oude Willem, and Appelscha through the Drents-Friese Wold. The routes are arrowed and come with notes full of “things to know along the way,” with stamp posts, traffic help at busy crossings, and a mobile team for small repairs or getting you safely back to OverEntinghe. The best wish in the notes is simple: blooming heath, no rain, no headwind, and “very many pleasant people met.”
