About this race
The Indian Summer Ultra is a trail race, primarily on unpaved paths, located in Drenthe, a province in the northern Netherlands. The routes extend over 100 km and begin in Rolde, leading participants into the Drentsche Aa National Park. Runners can choose from shorter trail distances or ultras of 50, 75, and 100 km.
With at least 95% of the course off-road, this event focuses on forest and heathland rather than roads with occasional dirt sections. The paths traverse Balloërveld and the Gasterse Duinen, two distinct natural areas within the park. RunForestRun organizes the event, and participants can opt for duo or relay team entries (up to five people) for the longer distances.
