About this race
The L.B.L. tocht Langenboom-Berg & Dal-Langenboom is a cycling tour held on Ascension Day, originating in Langenboom, North Brabant, and organized by Toerclub De Doortrappers. Participants can select from two road routes and four gravel routes. The road routes are designed for experienced touring cyclists seeking a challenging, hilly ride rather than a leisurely flat one. Distances for the road routes are 97 km and 127 km. The shorter route includes approximately 400 meters of climbing, while the longer route offers nearly 700 meters of elevation gain. Departures commence in the morning from De Wis, located on Dominicanenstraat in Langenboom. Navigation for the road routes is exclusively via GPX files, requiring riders to use their own devices.
The road course crosses eastern Brabant, passing through the De Vilt nature reserve and the Maas valley, before heading towards the hilly terrain near Berg en Dal. Notable climbs featured on the route include De Stekkenberg, Tivoli, and Oude Holle Weg, contributing to the ride's demanding character. The organizers prioritize quiet country lanes, minimizing the use of busy roads and problematic traffic intersections. An alternative starting point and break stop is available at Café Ton Oomen in De Horst.
