Lentemarathon Amstelveen

The Lentemarathon Amstelveen begins and ends at Stadshart Amstelveen, with the city center serving as the race hub for all distances. This March weekend offers running and walking events, ranging from a 500 m Kids Run to the full marathon. Additional options include a half marathon, 10 km, 5 km, Night Run, a marathon relay for teams, and 5 km or 10 km walks. The routes traverse some of Amstelveen’s well-known local areas: Amsterdamse Bos, Oude Dorp, the polders, the Amstel River, and various city districts. Participants have described the event as well-organized, with helpful staff, supportive crowds, and adequate water and fruit stations. Specific praise was given to sections around the park. However, one runner mentioned bike crossings, dog walkers on the course, and a wooden half-marathon medal as less positive aspects. Stadshart is accessible via tram, bus, bicycle, with nearby paid parking or a park-and-ride ticket offering a short shuttle from KPMG.
