About this race
Palingrun Volendam begins and ends at Slobbeland, with participants going through Volendam and nearby Edam. It is a new June running and walking event offering short options for beginners and children, alongside longer 5 English Mile and 10 English Mile races for more experienced runners.
The event offers a wide range of distances for its early stage: 1 km, 5 km, 8 km, 10 km, 16.1 km, a kids run, and a 10.2 km walking route. The course crosses the village and passes well-known Volendam locations. Companies can register eight-person teams for either the 5 or 10 English Mile races. A portion of the event's proceeds is dedicated to supporting young sports talent.
