About this race
Rondje Lindewijk is a street run in Wolvega, Friesland, usually held in early October in and around the Lindewijk area. It is built for a wide range of runners: the youngest children can race 500 meters or 1 kilometer, while older runners have had options such as 4 miles, 8 kilometers, 10 English miles, and 16 kilometers depending on the edition. The event is open from age 4 upward, includes school youth, and uses separate courses for children and adults.
The route runs through the Lindewijk and nearby natural areas around Wolvega, with the start and finish near Eikepage 14/16. Atletiekvereniging Start ’78, Beweegteam Weststellingwerf, and the Lindewijk project organization are listed among the organizers, with editions also connected to the Atletiekunie. The race has reached its tenth edition, and some editions add team categories, a free GPS walking tour beforehand, and a Lindewijk T-shirt option, with children in the shortest races receiving the shirt for free.
