Run Bike Marathon 2026

Run Bike Marathon is a 42.20 km team relay held in Oud-Beijerland, commencing at AV Spirit on Langeweg. Rather than a single runner completing the full marathon, teams of up to four divide the distance, averaging just over 10 km per person. This structure welcomes club runners, casual runners, business teams, youth teams, and individuals capable of a 10 km run. AV Spirit, affiliated with the Atletiekunie, organizes the event, which has a participant limit of 600. The course crosses the Hoeksche Waard, and organizers are developing a revised route for the series. The event's format is locally likened to a small Roparun, emphasizing collective arrival at the finish line, with teams determining their own running assignments. All participants receive a medal and souvenir. Prizes are distributed beyond the top three finishers, allowing teams not in the fastest group to win awards. The event benefits Stichting MooiMens HW, a local charity supporting individuals with mild intellectual disabilities in maintaining autonomy, securing housing, and remaining socially connected. An afterparty concludes the day.
