About this race
Singelloop is an annual street run in Utrecht and the oldest street race in the Netherlands. Thousands of runners participate in its different events, with the 10K carrying enough weight to host national-title racing. The event is not only for fast runners, though; it also draws a broad field of everyday participants moving through the city together.
The route follows the Utrecht Singels and passes Wilhelminapark, so runners get a course tied closely to the city’s canals, parks, and old street layout. The race has celebrated its 100th anniversary, a rare milestone for a road event. Recent editions have included autumn weather, rain, and slippery roads, and one finisher summed up the pull of the event by saying they would come back to the city.
