Strong Viking - Obstacle Run Amsterdam runs in the Spaarnwoude nature reserve near Amsterdam, with water obstacles as the main draw. The event is an obstacle run rather than a standard road race, and the distance menu goes from a 4 km Family Run with child-friendly obstacles to the 60 km Ultra Viking. Other options include 4 km Beginning, 7 km Lightning, 13 km Warrior, 19 km Beast, and the 42 km Iron Viking. The course uses big water features, including Flying Ragnar and the Fjord Drop, a 14-meter-high obstacle into water.
