Strong Viking Obstacle Run Wijchen

Strong Viking Obstacle Run Wijchen sends runners into the mud at Berendonck, a recreation area in Wijchen near Nijmegen. It is a spring or early-summer obstacle race weekend with regular adult distances such as 4 km, 7 km, 13 km, 19 km, 42 km, and in some editions a 60 km Ultra Viking. The short end includes a 4 km Family Run for children from age 5 with an adult, while the longer routes move up through Beginning, Lightning, Warrior, Beast, Iron Viking, and Ultra Viking categories with higher age limits. The course is built around mud, water, and fixed obstacles rather than plain road running. Named obstacles include Mud Trenches, Flying Ragnar, Storm the Castle, Walhalla Steps, SAGA obstacles, and the 14-meter Fjord Drop, which appears on the 13 km and 19 km routes. Organizers test the water quality before the run, provide refreshment stations, and offer a guarded cloakroom for one bag per runner.
