Tilburg Ten Miles is an annual road running event held in Tilburg, North Brabant, since 1988. Its primary event is the 10 English miles race (16.1 km), featuring both competitive and recreational runners. The program also includes 10 km, 5 km, family, inclusive, business, and walking events. Typically, running races occur on Sunday, following Saturday walks, and the event accommodates up to 18,000 participants. It functions as a city-wide event, with runners passing through decorated streets accompanied by numerous small orchestras and tens of thousands of spectators.
The current course begins on Spoorlaan, concluding at Stadsforum in the city center. It incorporates a loop through Tilburg-Zuid and a reversed section in the Tivoli district. The race draws a diverse field, from children and novice runners to national and international elite athletes. Tilburg is known for its fast course: Haile Gebrselassie recorded the best-ever 10 English miles time here (44:24), Abdi Nageeye set the Dutch 10-mile record, and notable women's 10 km performances have been among the world's best. This combination of fast competition, crowded streets, music, and recreational participation creates a local festival atmosphere.
