Vijfhoekparkloop

The Vijfhoekparkloop is a small, relaxed running series in Zaandam, organized by Atletiekvereniging Zaanland. The races take place in Vijfhoekpark, an ecological park next to Sportpark Poelenburg, with 1.5 km, 5 km, and 10 km options, all commencing at 11:00. It is structured as a local fun run, not a large-scale event, and runners can register only on race day in the canteen of Tennisvereniging Zaanstad Zuid. The route follows a 1,570-meter circuit through the park, run clockwise. The 1.5 km race is just under one lap, the 5 km race is three laps with a short extension, and the 10 km race is six laps with a longer addition. A series discount is offered to runners completing all three events, but the organization remains traditional: payment by exact cash, changing rooms, and first aid are provided. It is described as small-scale, with few participants, consistent with its club-organized nature.
