About this race
Dalborgløpet is a 5 km run held in Gjøvik on the third day of Christmas, starting at noon from Vind Idrettsplass. It is a small, informal race, not a large city event, offering men's and women's categories, modest prizes for winners, and a focus on honor and glory. Participants should arrive before the start, pre-register if possible, and bring their own refreshments.
The course follows Dalborgvegen through the upper part of Gjøvik, with a turnaround point at 2.5 km, returning along the same path to Vind. The road has gentle inclines, and winter conditions are a factor: warm clothing is advised, as are shoes with a coarse tread or spikes. All running levels are welcome, making it suitable for a competitive 5 km or a relaxed holiday run to counter post-Christmas inactivity.
