About this race
EcoTrail Oslo offers distances from a 10 km trail run to an 80 km ultra in Norway’s capital, with half marathon, 31 km, and 50 km options available. This late-May trail event in Oslo begins some of its races at Fossum Idrettsanlegg. The series also includes Nordic Walk, catering to participants beyond those aiming for an ultra finish.
The 80 km race presents a significant challenge with approximately 1,991 meters of elevation gain; a recent edition saw 347 finishers in this distance. The elite pace is fast, as the 80 km winner completed the course in just under six hours. However, the event also accommodates recreational runners and novices with shorter distances and pre-race social runs. Its focus on sustainability is evident in practical aspects: finishers receive a reusable tote bag and a seed packet, and organizers prioritize lower-waste practices over solely offering medals and merchandise.
