Fornebuløpet 2026

Fornebuløpet begins and ends at UNITY Arena in Fornebu, a waterfront district southwest of Oslo. It includes a children's run, 3 km, 5 km, 10 km, and the Fornebutrippelen (3+5+10 km). Held on a May midweek, it is perhaps Norway's largest midweek run, now in its 16th edition. The various distances accommodate children, new runners, club members, and friends participating in the same event without requiring a long race commitment. The 3 km and 5 km courses are entirely on asphalt, primarily on bike and pedestrian paths. The 5 km route proceeds from UNITY Arena towards the Equinor building along the water, then enters Nansenparken. The 10 km course starts outside UNITY Arena, passes the Telenor and Equinor buildings, and crosses Rolfsbukta, Hundsund skole, Koksabukta, Fornebu S, the Storøya bathing area, Fornebu Grendesenter, and includes a circuit around the former Norske Skog headquarters before concluding with a lap in Nansenparken. Drink stations for the 10 km are located at Fornebu S and Storøya Skole; the 5 km has one at Storøya Skole. Public transport is recommended, as UNITY Arena is a 15-20 minute walk from Lysaker station, and driving may result in traffic queues around Fornebu.
