Furusjøen Rundt-løpet/marsjen begins and ends at Rudland Fjellsenter on Kvamsfjellet in Nord-Fron, Innlandet. The September event offers runners and walkers multiple options: a half marathon of approximately 21.1 km, a 9 km race or march, a family class, and children’s obstacle runs. The youngest participants, ages 0-6, run in Snipp, while Snapp is for ages 6-10.
The half marathon route crosses mountain terrain surrounding Furusjøen, featuring gravel roads, trails, boardwalks, and some wet sections. It includes a significant climb before the initial aid station. Portions of the course extend through the Frydalen landscape conservation area. The half marathon is supported by three aid stations providing sports drink, water, crackers, and bananas. The 9 km march has consistently attracted many young runners, with recent outcomes indicating teenagers competing near the front. Upon finishing, participants receive tomato soup. The event holds a Quality Race certification, requiring licenses for participants aged 13 and older, and imposes penalties for littering.
