HTB Valestrandsmarka Rundt - nyttårsløp

HTB Valestrandsmarka Rundt is a 4.4 km race series in Valestrandsmarka on Osterøy, organized by Osterøy IL friidrett. Races are held throughout the year, with additional Christmas and New Year events. Registration is straightforward: sign up at the start near Furubakken idrettsplass for 30 kroner; no racing license is needed. The course is officially measured at 4,400 meters. The current route has been in use since 1980, with official times recorded since 1981. If the area around the course changes, the start is adjusted to maintain the distance. The race's intimate atmosphere is part of its draw: participants receive free sveler and juice, prizes are awarded via random draws based on race numbers, and a 3,000 kroner cash prize is offered to the first man and woman who achieve the organizer’s time standards.
