About this race
KKmila is an Oslo road race with 5 km and 10 km options, starting from Sukkerbiten in Bjørvika and run in June. The shorter race starts around midday and the 10 km follows later, giving the day a clear split between the two distances. Runners can enter regular timed classes or choose the HEIA class, which lets people join without chasing an official time. The event pitches itself as "Norway's nicest race," with a friendly setup that suits both beginners and experienced runners.
The route uses modern city surroundings around Oslo rather than a countryside or trail setting, with about 47 metres of climbing on the 5 km and 164 metres on the 10 km. KKmila is returning after a one-year break with a new course, a new profile, and new organizers: Aller and Springtime Event, the group behind races such as Sommernattsløpet, EcoTrail, Rosa Sløyfe-løpene, and Oslos Bratteste. The race has already gathered runners in Oslo 14 times, and its lighter traditions include names on bibs for early registrants, optional donations to Right To Play, and goodie bags with bubbles at the finish. TV profile Carina Olset Hovda is also attached to the race as an ambassador and project-group member.
