About this race
Kristins Runde Mimreløp begins at Tverrsjøstallen, on the Jevnaker side of Nordmarka, north of Oslo. This 81 km trail race includes approximately 2,000 meters of elevation gain. Organized by Romerike Ultraløperklubb, it is positioned as a small autumn ultra rather than a large-scale event. The comeback edition limited participation to 30 starters, with 22 runners beginning the race after some withdrawals. Conditions were clear and cool, around 10-12°C, and participants navigated numerous trees felled by storm Amy.
The course crosses all five of Nordmarka’s peaks exceeding 700 meters: Ringkollen, Oppkuven, Helgehaugen, Lamannshaugen, and Svartbekkhøgda. The final challenge comes late, as the last three peaks are encountered within the concluding 10 km. While officially listed, the event functioned much like a club run, with 15 of the 22 starters belonging to Romerike Ultraløperklubb. The race resumed after a 12-year hiatus; in its previous iteration, it was Norway’s longest trail race. This edition also served a memorial purpose: Louise Skak, who had registered for the race, was honored before the start. A mental-health fundraiser was initiated, and the runners collectively covered the first kilometer in her memory.
