Melshornløpet is a mountain race in Volda, Norway. Runners ascend from sea level to the summit of Melshorn, reaching an elevation of 807 metres. The race takes place in September and hosts the Norwegian Championship in mountain running. Both competitive classes and a non-competitive trim class are offered.
The course measures approximately 7 km, though some event information lists it as 6.7 km. The championship race follows the same route that was used for testing prior to the NM edition. The women's course record stands at 49:37, and the men's at 38:27, indicating the difficulty of the ascent. Junior and senior podium finishers are awarded cash prizes. All participants receive a medal, and prize draws occur in the start area; attendees must be present to claim prizes. Melshornets Venner and Volda Turn og Idrottslag Friidrett are the organizing bodies.
