The Nordfjordryggen fjelløp is a 30 km mountain race held in Gloppen, Norway. It features approximately 1,000 meters of elevation gain, starting at Utvikfjellet and concluding in Sandane. This event takes place on a September weekend, incorporating routes around Trivselsskogen and nearby mountains. Participants can choose between a competitive class or a walking option for a more relaxed experience.
The course crosses the Nordfjord ridge, passing through locations such as Snøfjellet, Dunheia, Blånibba, Svinestranda, Svarthammaren, and Haugsvarden, before its finish at Heradsplassen in Sandane. Fjellhug/Vereide IL is the organizing body, with a limit of 300 runners for the competition. The weekend commences with a Friday camp at Trivselsskogen. Attendees bring their own food for a bonfire and grill, enjoy music, and receive race details. The following morning, buses transport participants from Sandane to the starting point.
