Norges raskeste 5 km is a 5 km race in Nesbyen focused on one goal: run fast and aim for a personal best. The race starts at 13:00, with registration available at the start area from 11:30. The entry fee is 150 kr. The event is approaching its 10th edition, following a couple of years with pandemic-related pauses. Age groups are determined by Kondis guidelines.
The event encourages speed with a 5000 kr bonus for any runner who breaks a course record. The results list both club and unattached runners, including athletes from Trim Elite, Ringerike friidrettsklubb, Romerike ultraløperklubb, Modum friidrettsklubb, Nordstrand IF Triatlon, Eina, and Nesbyen IL. Winning women's times in the results span from Kristine Næss's 18:19 in K 20-22 to Sanne Kr. Rukke's 23:19 in K 12. This indicates the field comprises younger runners, masters runners, and individuals focused on achieving fast times rather than simply completing the race.
