About this race
Perseløpet is a low-key Norwegian road race series focused on giving runners a chance at a personal best. The 3 km and 10 km races are run on fast, flat, AIMS-approved courses, with the 10 km route having a 0.3% gradient. It is based at Ås skole, with free parking by the start and finish, and is reachable from Oslo in under an hour by public transport or about 45 minutes by car from Oslo S.
The course uses a measured 2633.8 m loop, making the race practical and repeatable. Elite runners, club runners, amateurs, and first-timers can all compete, but the focus is on racing your own clock. The organizer publishes lists of runners who set personal bests, and typically 30-40% of finishers improve their mark, with some editions reaching 70%. Results appear online instantly, finishers receive a medal, participant photos are free, and bib pickup is self-service.
