About this race
Sørdalskarusellen is a ten-race cross-country series held at Håkons Hall in Innlandet, taking place from April to September. It caters to recreational runners, not specialists. The atmosphere is informal, with short to moderate distances. Runners can select the difficulty level appropriate for them. The available race distances span from 2.8 km to 10.4 km, including several intermediate options, making the series suitable for both light training and more demanding efforts.
The last race is Tverrløpet, which takes the place of Elvaløpet. It begins at Håkons Hall and concludes at the Engesvea ski jumping facility. This course follows Tverrløypa and includes 59 meters of elevation gain. The series features Wednesday mass starts, and a virtual race option is offered from Saturday to Tuesday. Participants completing a minimum of six races receive a prize at a ceremony in late October or early November.
