About
Sørlandet Petit Prix is a national road stage race for children and youth aged 6 to 16, held every August in Kristiansand and Grimstad in southern Norway. The race has three stages: a prologue, a criterium, and a mass-start road race, offering young riders a compact version of a real stage-race weekend rather than a single start and finish.
The first two stages are based in Kristiansand, near Dyreparken, and the final mass start is run in Grimstad on Sunday morning. Riders come from across Norway, with families, coaches, and supporters often treating the weekend as a short Sørlandet holiday near the end of summer vacation. The organizers emphasize fair racing and a safe setup, and registration opens in May through the race website, social media, EQ Timing, and sykling.no.
