About this race
Sjusjøløpet is a running event in the Sjusjøen area of Nordre Ringsaker, held during the autumn holiday period and revived after a pause following the pandemic. The current version offers three course options, with Sjusjøvannet Rundt as the main race: approximately 11 km around the lake on paths and roads.
The main course is mostly easy to run, but it includes a couple of small rises, with most of the 170 meters of climbing concentrated in the final kilometer. Previous editions featured two distances, Sjusjøvannet Rundt at about 10.5 km and the longer Sollifjellrunden at 23.5 km. The race is organized by Sjusjøen Idrettsanlegg, owned by seven local clubs, and it ran for seven consecutive years before the break. Mattis Stenshagen was the fastest finisher around Sjusjøvannet in the last edition prior to the pause.
