About this race
Stavanger Swimrun Stokkabouy takes place in September at Stokkavatnet in Stavanger, Norway. Participants alternate between swimming and running laps around the lake. The event welcomes solo racers and two-person teams. The complete course involves approximately 1300 meters of swimming and 8.5 km of running.
The course features multiple swim-run transitions. Some variations begin with a 200m swim, while others start with a 100m swim. On land, the terrain includes gravel paths, trails, short wooded areas, and some inclines. The swim segments return participants to the water. The event schedule includes a required safety briefing and an award ceremony. The race was formerly known as Stokkaboy and Stokkagirl before being renamed Stokkabouy.
