Terrengkarusellen is a Thursday trail-running series in Trondheim, with races throughout the season and a final round at Lianvannet. It is set up so people can walk, jog, or run, and they can choose whether they want an official time. Non-timed participants usually start in an early window, while timed runners join a shared evening start. Entry is flexible: people can sign up for the whole series or just one race.
The series moves between local outdoor areas such as Bekken, Ferista, Granåsen, Lian, Strandlinjen, Fjellseter, Ringvål, Nilsbyen, and Lianvannet, with route maps and course descriptions available for each race. The Lianvannet finale is distinctive: it is a headlamp run around the lake, with a later start, torches marking the course, and a bonfire lit for the evening. Results are posted for anyone who wants to check their time, but the format accommodates first-timers, fitness walkers, club runners, and people treating it as a regular Thursday outing.
