EBOP Monthly Duathlon – October

About this race
Ōhope Reserve hosts a straightforward duathlon as part of the Eastern Bay of Plenty Triathlon & Multisport Club’s winter series. The October EBOP Monthly Duathlon is a basic "run–bike–run" event: participants complete laps on foot around the reserve, followed by a road cycling segment, and concluding with a final run.
The run courses are flat, meaning the challenge lies in maintaining momentum through the transitions rather than conquering inclines. Adult participants can select between shorter or longer course variations, while children and youth are offered "age-appropriate distances." This structure ensures the event progresses smoothly without feeling overly complex. Expect a blend of novice and seasoned multisport athletes within a "supportive club environment," characteristic of a race where efficient transitions are beneficial, but without the pretense of a large-scale production.
