Greymouth Harriers 2 or 4 Person Relay 2026

Outside the Kumara Theatre Royal Hotel, this relay gets straight onto the West Coast Wilderness Trail and heads for the Grey River. It has the feel of a "shared team event rather than an individual race", with walkers and runners mixing in the same practical, club-style setup. Teams can go as pairs or fours, which keeps it a "social and flexible relay" without taking the edge off the racing. The course is broken into four legs, with one section marked as the "longest leg of the relay" and the final runner or walker bringing it home beside the Grey River at the Blaketown Rugby Clubrooms. Two-person teams "split the four relay legs between them", while four-person teams each take one turn. Expect clubs, workplaces, groups of friends, social runners, recreational teams, and corporate teams chasing the event trophy.
