The Coastal 2026

The Coastal is a running and walking event held at Caroline Bay in Timaru. The course, which starts and finishes by the bay, rolls over a spring race weekend. Participants can choose from the PrimePort Half Marathon, 10KM, 5KM, a Kids Run, and 5km school and corporate challenges. The race follows the South Canterbury coast instead of a city-street loop, offering sea views to runners and walkers. It is suitable for runners aiming for a personal best, casual walkers, children, school groups, workplace teams, and families visiting Timaru. The area offers coastal walks, cafés, and other local attractions for participants to enjoy around the event.
